Implementing best practices and the microeconomics
of quality will be integral to all research projects

Completed, Ongoing and Proposed Projects:

Life Laboratory is committed to be a magnet for researchers dedicated to value-driven healthcare. We are working with our professional community to test and implement cost effective quality care.

Past, present and future projects include:

1) A recently completed Pre-certification Study that reports on the process,
costs and outcomes of pre-certification of medications and diagnostic tests.

2) An Adherence study to determine the optimal care model and methods that are most successful in achieving preventative care goals and disease management practice targets.

3) Our Electronic Medical Record Research will demonstrate how bringing information to the point of care will affect quality, at lower costs.

4) Our Time, Relationship and Advocacy Study is intended to study the value, to the patients, of having quality time spent with the physician during visits.  The study plans to evaluate its effect on relationship building and best outcome achievements.
Proper evaluation of the methods used by insurance companies to evaluate quality patient care.
Practical applications of Information Technology in the Office and for the patient.
