| Daniel J. Toran joined Penn Mutual as executive vice president in 1996. He became president and chief operating officer in January 1997. Mr. Toran's 36 years of experience in the life insurance industry include his prior position as executive vice president of marketing and sales at the New England Mutual Life Insurance Company. |
| Former chairman of The American College's board of trustees, Mr. Toran also is a charter board member of the college's Endowment Foundation. He is a former chairman of the board of directors of the Life Insurance Marketing & Research Association (LIMRA). In addition, he is a member of the Abington Memorial Hospital Foundation Board. A native Bostonian, Mr. Toran holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bates College, Lewiston, Maine (1970). |
